Here's a close-up view of the license plate.
Mine was made a couple of years ago, and it still looks good.
Here's how to make yours
Go to
http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/ and type in whatever name you'd like on
your plate. You can even select the State, which makes it look even more
authentic.
The website will automatically generate the plate for you. Right
click on the image it creates, and save it to your computer.
Resize the image for your needs. You can use freeware, such as
http://www.irfanview.com to shrink the
image.
With a color printer set in the highest resolution, print the image onto a
piece of photo quality paper. Let it completely dry
To protect the print, it will need to be laminated. Several options
here. You can use a hot laminater for best results, or buy a sheet of
the cold laminating material (Office Depot, Staples, etc.), which is peel and
stick, or even use a piece of heavy duty clear tape (3M brand packing tape).
Apply it carefully, making sure not to get any bubbles trapped.
Apply a layer of double backed tape (not foam tape) to the back of the
license plate.
Carefully cut the license plate out. Cut the corners round, just
like a real plate.
Peel the backing off the double backed tape, and apply the license plate
to your vehicle. Viola, you're done! Go show off your custom ride
to your friends.
